Tara Templin, PhD MS, has joined UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health as Assistant Professor in Health Policy and Management and Faculty Fellow at the Carolina Population Center.
A health economist studying population health improvement in resource-constrained settings, Dr. Templin focuses on the socioeconomic causes and consequences of noncommunicable diseases. Her expertise spans applied microeconometrics and machine learning for causal inference.
Dr. Templin brings extensive experience in global health economics, having worked on projects examining the impact of health policies and economic conditions on population health outcomes across diverse settings.
Her collaboration with DHEPLab strengthens our capacity to conduct rigorous economic evaluation of digital health interventions and clinical AI systems.
